One Palestine, Complete: Jews and Arabs Under the British Mandate
Tom Segev is one of Israel's best-known journalists and leading historians. He was born in Jerusalem on March 1st, 1945, ten years after his parents arrived in Palestine as refugees from Nazi Germany. His father was killed three years later, duriing the first Arab-Israeli War in 1948.
Tom Segev's inaugural book, 1949: The First Israelis, was an immediate bestseller in Israel, becoming the cornerstone of Israel's "new historiography". The New York Times Book Review deemed the work "required reading for all who want to understand the Arab-Israeli conflict".
Segev's most acclaimed and most controversial work is The Seventh Million: The Israelis and the Holocaust.
His latest book, One Palestine, Complete details the British Mandate in Palestine.
Tom Segev graduated from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem with a B.A. degree in History and Political Science and holds a Ph.D. in History from Boston University. He resides in Jerusalem.
